Driver abandons vehicle during attempted traffic stop

A driver was on the run Tuesday night after an attempted traffic stop in Boone County.

Deputies said law enforcement attempted a traffic stop, but the driver failed to pull over.

The driver later parked the vehicle and fled on foot in the area of Vawter School Road and Old Mill Creek Road.

A K9 was brought to the scene, but authorities were unable to locate the person.

Authorities began clearing the scene just before midnight.
