Lt. Governor Parson says he hasn’t been in touch with Governor ‘in quite some time’

Lieutenant Governor Michael Parson toured Columbia today.

He first started at the new Boone County Joint Communications center and then headed to the Reynolds Alumni Center at Mizzou to speak about job creation, Buy Missouri initiatives and veterans issues.

With such a delicate time at the Capitol, ABC 17 asked Lt. Governor Parson if he has been in touch with Governor Greitens.

“I have not talked to him in quite some time,” said Parson.

ABC 17 asked Parson if he has been prepping himself for the possibility of becoming Governor, if Greitens is in fact impeached.

“My job right now is to be the Lieutenant Governor for the State of Missouri and that’s what I’ll continue to do. I know what my obligations are if something should ever occur, I knew that from the beginning,” said Parson.

Parson told us if he is needed to step forward as Governor, he is ready for that expansion.
