UPDATE: Troopers identify victims in Lake of the Ozarks boat crash, driver arrested

UPDATE 6:45 pm: The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the victims in Saturday morning’s boat crash at the Lake of the Ozarks and the driver of the boat was arrested on suspicion of boating while intoxicated.

According to the crash report, Hayden Frazier, 22, of Overland Park, Kansas, was operating the boat when it crashed into a rock bluff.

Troopers said Frazier and two other people were thrown from the boat.

Daniel Lewis, 24, of Overland Park, was found dead on the boat. Joseph Lemark, 23, of Overland Park, was later recovered from the water.

Frazier was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and a 21-year-old woman was also flown to the hospital with serious injuries.

After searching the water for several hours Saturday morning, troopers found the body of Hailey Hochanadel, 21, of Olathe, Kansas.

Troopers arrested Frazier on suspicion of three counts of boating while intoxicated resulting in death of another, one count of BWI resulting in serious physical injury and negligent operation of a vessel.

UPDATE 12:40 pm: Divers located a third victim around 11:15 a.m., according the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Troopers are working to notify family members before identifying the victims.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F tweeted that troopers are investigating a fatal boat crash and are searching for a possible victim at the Lake of the Ozarks Saturday morning.

Troopers said they received a call around 1:45 a.m. of a boat crash near the 47 mile marker at the Lake of the Ozarks in Camden County.

Preliminary investigation revealed a boat struck a rock bluff, troopers said.

Troopers have confirmed two people died and two people have been taken to the hospital.

Troopers said a dive team is at the scene searching for a possible third victim.
