Summer-like warmth continues
TONIGHT: Mostly clear skies can be expected tonight, with temperatures falling into the upper 50s north of I-70 to the low 60s south. . Winds will remain light, coming in from the northeast at 3-7 mph.
THURSDAY: The summer-like warmth continues as we reach the low to mid 80s under partly cloudy skies and northeast winds at 4-8 mph. A spot shower or t-storm is possible mainly south of I-70.
EXTENDED: We’ll heat up more for the end of the week, reaching the mid to upper 80s Friday as the dry weather continues. Storms in Nebraska and northeat Kansas Friday night could drop to the southeast and affect parts of MId-Missouri Saturday morning with the best chance west of HWY 63. Clouds will break up in the afternoon and temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 80s Saturday with more humidity due to southerly winds. A few more storms are possible Saturday afternoon but will become more likely Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front moves through. This will cool us back into the lower 80s Sunday as winds shift back to the north. We’ll watch for the potential of strong to severe storms Saturday and Saturday night.
