Rising through the 80s for the rest of the week with storms by the weekend
WEDNESDAY: Skies will remain partly sunny with only an isolated storm chance, mainly south of I-70 and west of HWY 63 in the afternoon and early evening. Most areas will stay dry with high temperatures in the lower 80s with northeast winds under 8 mph. Northeasterly flow through the afternoon will bring humidity down just a bit.
TONIGHT: With skies clearing and winds holding tight out of the northeast from 5-9 mph, temperatures will drop into the low 60s by morning.
EXTENDED: Most of mid-Missouri will stay dry through Thursday with the isolated rain chance well to the south of I-70. High temperatures will rise into the mid 80s. We’ll start heating up into the upper 80s Friday as winds shift to the southeast, with humidity increasing as well. Friday looks dry but storms could return as early as Saturday morning from the west. It looks hot and a bit humid Saturday as we reach near 90 degrees, heat indices could make it feel more like the mid 90s. A few more storms are possible Saturday afternoon but will become more likely Saturday night into Sunday morning as a cold front moves through. This will cool us back into the lower 80s Sunday as winds shift back to the north. We’ll watch for the potential of strong to severe storms Saturday and Saturday night.
