16-year-old seriously injured after Montgomery county crash

A 16-year-old girl from Wellsville suffered serious injuries after a crash at MO 19 at Cedartown Rd. in Montgomery County.

Courtnie Winkler, 16, of Wellsville, was driving northbound on MO 19 in a 2001 Chevrolet Venture Van when a flat tire caused the vehicle to fishtail. The vehicle went off of the right sight of the road, overturned several times and ejected Winkler. The vehicle stopped in a field off the road. Winkler was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Winkler was taken to the hospital for serious injuries.
