Remaining humid, with storms into the afternoon

TUESDAY: It’s a mild and humid afternoon across Mid-Missouri, but not expected to be as warm as yesterday. Highs today will only top out in the upper 70s, as clouds and storms will keep temperatures from climbing. While it’s been dry for most of the morning, storms are expected to increase in coverage through the day after noon and last through sunset. These storms come as a cold front makes its final push through the region, which will bring slightly cooler and less humid conditions. Following the cold front, winds will shift out of the north up to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: Afternoon storms will push to the southeast this evening giving us a drying trend through the overnight hours. Behind the cold front winds will be shifted out of the northeast form 5-8 mph with temperatures dropping into the mid 60s by morning. It will be dry, but partly cloudy skies will remain.

EXTENDED: We’ll be drier Wednesday and early Thursday with only isolated storm chances, mainly in the Ozarks. High temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s but will climb to the upper 80s Friday as warmer air returns with a warm front lifting back to the north. This will increase storm chances from Friday night through the weekend as the boundary sets up over Mid-Missouri, moving to our north then back to the south again. Temperatures will climb to near 90 Saturday, dropping to the lower 80s Sunday as storm chances continue. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
