Warm Mother’s Day Weekend Ahead

TODAY: We’re going to be seeing a bit of cloud cover this morning, much like we did to start the day on Friday. We will see a chance of some showers in our far northern counties this morning, but will be quickly out of the area by midday if they do develop. We’ll be warm once again as highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90. Thankfully, we will see a breeze out of the south this afternoon gusting up to 25 mph, making it a bit more bearable out there.

TONIGHT: Our winds will relax a bit as we head into the overnight hours. Lows will only cool off into the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies as our wind continues to blow out of the south.

EXTENDED: Until this boundary to our north leaves, we’re going to be stuck in what feels to be the same day, weather-wise. We’ll see a slight chance of showers and storms in our northern-most counties in the morning, but most of us will stay dry. By the time clouds thin out and exit the area, we’ll warm once again on Mother’s Day to near record highs in the low 90s. This trend continues heading into Monday with a chance of showers and storm developing overnight into Tuesday. The pattern starts to break down heading into Wednesday, as we see better chances of showers work their way into Mid-Missouri. We will see the chance for much needed rainfall continue heading into next weekend. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
