CPD investigating shooting near Rice Road and Shamrock Drive
On Thursday around 6:15 p.m., Columbia police were called to the area of Rice Road and Shamrock Drive for reports of gunshots.
Boone County Joint Communications said it got reports of people in two different vehicles shooting at one another.
CPD said officers found shell casings in the 5200 block of Rice Road.
The preliminary investigation showed the vehicles were traveling on Rice Road toward Shamrock Drive when the bullets were shot.
There are no reports of injuries or property damage.
The suspect vehicles are described as older model black Toyota Corollas with black male drivers.
