The first 90 degree day of the year expected this weekend
THURSDAY: The warmth continues as temperatures climb into the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of t-storms in the morning with the better chance in our southwestern counties near Truman Reservoir. A spot storm is also possible in the afternoon as a warm front lifts to the north.
TONIGHT: Another comfortable night is in store with warm temperatures through the night under mostly clear skies. Low temperatures will bottom out in the mid 60s by daybreak with a slight breeze out of the southwest from 5-8 mph.
EXTENDED: Late Friday night, storms in northern Missouri near the front could track to the southeast and move into areas north of HWY-24 Saturday morning, but the chance is low. Saturday afternoon looks dry and very warm as we reach the upper 80s to near 90 once again. As the cold front drops south Sunday, isolated storms are possible but most of the day we’ll have dry time and highs will climb into the upper 80s for Mother’s Day. Next week looks very warm as a summer-like weather pattern continues, giving us storm chances occasionally. Watch ABC 17 News for the newest forecast and check back here for updates.
