Three people taken into custody for trespassing in south Columbia

UPDATE (3:15 a.m.): ABC 17 News confirmed three people were taken into custody for trespassing in connection to the large police presence in south Columbia.

Law enforcement on scene told ABC 17 News they responded to the area after residents called police for seeing one person with a gun.

Original story: At least nine police cars are responding to the 5400 block of south Bethel Church Road.

ABC 17 News is currently on scene. Our reporter has seen multiple people being taken into custody as well as K-9 unit.

ABC 17 News heard reports of a home invasion, but we are still working to confirm that detail.
