Gorgeous start to the work week with the chance of storms on the horizon

MONDAY: The day will start out on the cool side, but as the sun begins to rise temperatures will warm quickly. We stay dry with ample sunshine throughout the day as temperatures will make their way to the upper 70s this afternoon with just a light breeze out of the northeast.

TONIGHT: A calm and clear night is in store with temperatures dropping into the low 50s by sunrise. Winds will be slight out of the east from 5-9 mph.

EXTENDED: Tuesday looks to be another wonderful day, but clouds will be on the increase by the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to the mid & upper 70s across the area. Our next chance of rainfall begins early Wednesday morning and will last through most of the day. A line of storms tracking through the area could be on the strong to severe side as you head east of HWY 63. Right now, hail looks to be the biggest threat with some isolated damaging winds. There is a marginal and slight risk for severe weather in our eastern counties. Late Wednesday we will see storms push to the southeast, but an isolated t-storm looks possible into Thursday. Temperatures across the 7-day will remain in the upper 70s to low 80s. Be sure to stay tuned to ABC 17 News for the latest weather forecast and impacts through the week.
