Chance of Showers Today Leads To Nice Start To Week
TODAY: We have some light showers working their way into Mid-Missouri this morning. Our mostly cloudy skies will give way to a little more sunshine this afternoon as our temperatures climb to near 80 once again. However, this sunshine could help provide the needed fuel for thunderstorms this afternoon. If we get enough sunshine in the early afternoon hours, a cold front sliding through the area will provide a focus for isolated storms, but nothing severe.
TONIGHT: These isolated storms will exit the area quickly by this evening. Lows tonight will bottom out near 50 under mostly clear skies with winds out of the northeast.
EXTENDED: Monday will be an absolutely beautiful day with full sunshine and comfortable temperatures in the middle 70s. We warm slightly Tuesday before another disturbance enters the region Tuesday night. This system will bring with it the chance for showers and thunderstorms Tuesday night and Wednesday before sliding off to the east. We’ll continue to see warm temperatures as we head into next weekend, with highs in the low 80s. Be sure to stay tuned to ABC 17 News for the latest weather forecast and impacts through the week.
