Suspect arrested in Black and Gold Bar shooting

The suspect in the Black and Gold Bar parking lot shooting on April 26 was arrested in Ward County, Texas.

Miles Leighton Hillegas, 21, of Columbia was arrested on May 2.

Police officers identified Hillegas through the investigation and a warrant request was submitted to the Boone County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Hillegas was arrested for felony assault in the first degree, felony armed criminal action and felony unlawful use of a weapon.

Hillegas has a cash-only bond of $500,000.
