Suspect impersonating Marshall police officer on Facebook

The Marshall Police Department said on Facebook that they’ve been made aware of a person who identified himself on Facebook as Lewis Jefferson.

According to the Marshall Police Department’s post, Jefferson engages in conversation with victims on Facebook and tells them he is a police officer with the Marshall Police Department to gain victims; trust. Jefferson continues to build a rapport with the victim on Facebook and has specifically targeted people with small children.

Jefferson then tells victims what he will do to the children when he comes into contact with them.

The Marshall Police Department’s post goes on to say that Jefferson is impersonating a law enforcement officer and is not a member of the Marshall Police Department.
