UPDATE: Police conducting death investigation on Clark Lane

UPDATE (3:32 pm): ABC 17 spoke to neighbors today who said they have had problems with the house for months.

One neighbor told us unleashed pit bulls roam around the house and when he confronted the owner, he told him to just “kick his dog.”

Other neighbors told us that they heard gun-shots coming from the house a month ago.

We dug up police reports which told us that police have been called more than 20 times in the last 7 months.

UPDATE (9:32 am): Columbia police have confirmed they are investigating a 32-year-old man’s death.

Officers said they were called to the scene around 4:50 a.m. and do not have a preliminary cause of death because they are waiting for the autopsy.

Bryana Larimer, CPD public information officer said while police were headed to the house, people inside the home took the man to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 5 a.m.

Larimer said they detained 10 people but ended up arresting three for unrelated incidents. She said at the time, no arrests were made in connection with the death investigation.

Larimer said the investigation is ongoing and that they are waiting to make sure all next of kin have been notified before releasing the man’s name.

UPDATE (7:30 am): ABC 17 News crews at the scene saw officers detain several more people at the home.

We have contacted the Columbia Police Department spokesperson to find out more information.
