Feelin’ more like spring

TUESDAY: After a cold start, temperatures will climb to the lower 50s by lunch-time and into the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon, finally feeling like spring. The Lake of the Ozarks will be a bit warmer, reaching the lower 70s as the warmer air moves in with easterly winds at 6-10 mph.

TONIGHT: Tonight we will see increasing clouds with breezy winds out of the east up to 15 mph as a cold front begins to move into mid-Missouri. Temperatures tonight will finally stay above freezing as overnight lows only drop into the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will cool back down to near 60 degrees for highs Wednesday. Any rain with this storm system will stay in northern Missouri and we’ll stay dry. However, westerly winds will pick up Wednesday to 16-22 mph, gusting as high as 40 mph. Outdoor burning should be avoided Wednesday due to the gusty winds. We’ll hover around the upper 50s to low 60s for the rest of the week with dry conditions. As a storm system passes to our south this weekend, rain is possible mainly in our southwestern counties late Saturday, spreading north to I-70 Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will be slightly below average this weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and nights in the lower 40s. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
