Columbia police arrest man accused of choking woman

Columbia police arrested Patrick Taylor on Saturday morning after officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Moore Walkway for a 911 check.

Taylor was accused of assaulting a woman by strangling her.

Officers said they saw the victim’s neck was swollen and her voice was hoarse.

Police said Taylor was also accused of damaging the victim’s car windows and cell phone.

Taylor faces possible charges of domestic assault and property damage.
