Four arrested, accused of leading Boone County deputies on chase

Boone County deputies said they arrested four people Sunday night after they spotted a suspicious vehicle they believed to be involved in an incident that happened earlier in the day.

Deputies said they spotted the vehicle around 9 p.m. near the intersection of St. Charles and Doziers Station roads, in the area where the incident took place earlier. Deputies did not say what the earlier incident was.

Deputies said they attempted to make a traffic stop with the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to stop and a chase started.

The chase went through eastern and northern Boone County before deputies used a spike strip to help stop the driver, deputies said.

Deputies said the vehicle stopped on Elizabeth Street near Highway OO in Hallsville. All four people were then taken into custody without further resistance.

Deputies said they arrested Ashley Sugget, 32, of Holts Summit for resisting arrest and driving while suspended.

Deputies said they arrested the other three–Carley Littleton, 19, of Foristell, John Calvert, 36, of Columbia, and Zachary Bradley, 21, of Columbia–for resisting arrest.
