Man arrested after witnesses see him hit woman with weapon

Columbia police arrested Larry Williams on Wedensday afternoon after officers were dispatched to the Eastwood Motel on the Business Loop for reports of a domestic assault.

A female victim told police that Williams struck her with a closed fist and hit her on the back of her neck with what felt like a gun.

Witnesses saw Williams run across the parking lot after hitting the victim multiple times. As he was running, a weapon fell from his hands.

Officers found a BB gun in the area.

Williams faces possible charges of armed criminal action and domestic assault.
