Moberly man charged with incest after being accused of raping 6-year-old girl

Moberly police arrested Danny Washam, 52, on Tuesday after officers were made aware of a sexual assault.

Police said a 6-year-old had disclosed she had been sexually assaulted by Washam.

On Wednesday, Washam was charged with statutory rape or attempted statutory rape, child molestation, endangering the welfare of a child, incest, statutory sodomy and enticement or attempted enticement of a child.

Washam is currently in the Randolph County Jail.
