A hefty warming trend bring temps close to 80 within two days
TUESDAY : We’ll have a warmer day as temperatures climb into the low to mid 50s under a mix of sun and clouds . Winds will come in from the southwest up to 8 mph.
TONIGHT: Temperatures will finally remain above freezing tonight with winds out of the southwest from 7-10 mph. By morning overnight lows will remain in the low 40s under partly cloudy skies.
EXTENDED : Southwest winds will be gusty to 30 mph Wednesday, warming temperatures into the lower 70s under mostly sunny skies. The warming continues into Thursday as we reach the upper 70s to near 80, making for a warm afternoon as winds continue to be gusty and from the southwest. Another cold front approaches on Friday bringing clouds and a chance for rain & storms. Showers are possible Friday morning but a line of showers and t-storms is more likely later in the day as the cold front gets closer. Strong to severe storms look possible and something we’ll monitor through the week. Much cooler air moves in next weekend with highs only near 50 Saturday and low to mid 40s Sunday. Nights will drop back to near freezing. We’re also watching for light precipitation Sunday which could start as a rain/ snow mix. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
