Attorneys for Gov. Greitens’ Mistress Issue Statement

Lawyers for the woman with whom Gov. Eric Greitens had an affair back in 2015 issued a statement in a response to his attorneys’ comments Monday night.

The office of Knight & Simpson said it is time for the governor to take responsibility for his actions.

The woman’s attorneys also plan to release the full transcript of her deposition as long as her name or any other identifying information is redacted.

In a court filing on Sunday, lawyers for Gov. Greitens claim the woman never saw the governor with a camera or a phone. The governor’s legal team argues that during her deposition on Friday the woman testified she was unsure if she knew Gov. Greitens had a phone or if she were remembering it through a dream.

A grand jury indicted the governor in February on a fourth-degree invasion of privacy charge.

His criminal trial is expected to start on May 14.
