Greitens’ attorneys claim mistress never saw governor with camera

Attorneys that are defending Gov. Eric Greitens against an invasion-of-privacy charge are raising doubts about the testimony of a woman that he had an affair with.

Greitens’ attorneys filed paperwork on Sunday saying that the woman testified she never saw the governor with a camera or phone on the day he was accused of taking a partially nude photograph of her while she was blindfolded and bound.

The court filing says the woman also testified that she does not know if her belief that he had a phone was the result of a dream. It also says that the woman revealed that she had sent partially nude images of herself to Greitens three months after their encounter.

A spokesperson for the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s office says Greitens’ attorneys latest court filing is another attack on the “credibility of the victim.”

The spokesperson also said that the defense “cherry picked bits and pieces” of the woman’s nine-hour deposition.
