Man accused of hiding methamphetamine in Audrain County deputy’s vehicle

Audrain County deputies arrested Michael Waters, 35, on Friday after officers noticed a vehicle with a registration violation on US 54 near Missouri Route HH.

Officers said when they came in contact with Waters, they learned he had a revoked driver’s license.

A K-9 searched the car and found a small amount of methamphetamine.

Waters was arrested and taken to the Audrain County Jail. After he was transported, a deputy found a plastic bag with methamphetamine, needles and Waters’ I.D. under the seat of his patrol vehicle.

Waters faces possible charges of driving with a revoked or suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $26,000.
