Late-night chase results in juvenile driver in custody

UPDATE 3 pm: Missouri State Highway Patrol said the juvenile was wanted for burglary and tampering. Officers determined he was in the Kingdom City area and when troopers found him, a chase began.

Troopers said the vehicle pursuit ended when the vehicle became stuck in a ditch as it attempted to access an outer road.

ORIGINAL STORY: Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism confirms sheriff deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers were involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle on I-70 near Kingdom City, Wednesday night.

The chase resulted in a juvenile in custody.

Chism didn’t have any other information regarding the chase since the Missouri State Highway Patrol is the lead investigator.
