Man on probation for second degree murder is arrested after officers find two guns

Osage County deputies arrested Darin Tidwell after officers were dispatched to a single vehicle accident on US Highway 50 near State Route N.

Tidwell told officers that several unseen motorcycle gang members were trying to kill him. Tidwell believed that the “outlaws” were following him so he was attempting to evade them by blacking out his vehicle headlights.

Deputies said Tidwell attempted to make a turn onto US Highway 50 East from State Route N, which caused the accident.

Officers said Tidwell was on probation and/or parole for second degree murder.

During the crash investigation, officers found two guns.

Tidwell was taken to the Osage County Jail.
