Long time attorney files for the 12th circuit judgeship

Timothy Joyce has filed as a Republican candidate for the office of Circuit Judge for the 12th Circuit.

“I’ve served the people of the 12th Circuit as the Warren County Prosecutor for more than nine years, then worked 27 years as a defense attorney. I’ll bring insight and balance to the criminal side of the Circuit Judge position,” Joyce said.

Joyce began his career as a Federal Attorney in Kansas City before being appointed to the position of Warren County prosecuting attorney. In 1991, he entered into private practice.

The candidate said he waited until a later date to file for the office out of respect for current Circuit Judge Wes Dalton, who declined to file for re-election. Since then, Dalton has pledged his full support to Joyce.
