Columbia police arrest man accused of statutory rape, sodomy

UPDATE 3/27: Grant has been charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy and enticement or attempted enticement of a child.

According to the probable cause statement, Grant knew how old the victim was.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested Qureshawn Grant on Monday morning after investigating a sexual assault.

Police said in December, Grant and a 14-year-old exchanged messages on Facebook. During the conversations, Grant invited the girl to his house.

The victim told officers she went to Grant’s house and the two had consensual sex and performed consensual sexual acts on each other.

Grant faces possible charges of statutory rape, statutory sodomy and enticement of a child.
