Man arrested after admitting to using Fentanyl

Columbia police arrested Nathan Fine on Saturday afternoon after officers were dispatched to the intersection of Broadway and College Avenue for a traffic stop.

Police said Fine, the driver, had a loaded syringe that officers found underneath the driver’s seat.

Fine admitted to police that he used Fentanyl earlier in the day and had put water in the syringe after he used it.

Fine faces possible charges of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle on the highway with a revoked license.
