Soggy Start to Our Saturday

TODAY : Shower activity will decrease in coverage as we head throughout the morning hours. Most of the afternoon appears to remain dry as these showers move out of the area right around midday. Unfortunately, as the showers move out, cooler air will be moving in during the afternoon. Highs will occur during the morning hours for most of the area, with northern counties cooler than the Lake of the Ozarks. With a cool breeze out of the north at 10-15 mph, you will want to grab a jacket for this afternoon.

TONIGHT : Clouds will hold on into the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures will still continue to fall thanks to winds out of the north tonight as we bottom out in the low 30s across the region.

EXTENDED : We’ll see limited sunshine on Sunday and that will keep us from warming beyond the low to mid 50s in the afternoon. More rain moves in late on Sunday night in the form of showers and isolated t-storms with a warm front lifting northward. This front will help warm us into the low to middle 60s for highs Monday and Tuesday. Periods of rain and isolated t-storms will continue Sunday night through the day on Tuesday before cooler and drier air works its way into the area. Rainfall totals of 1-3″ are expected across Mid-Missouri with the highest amounts south of I-70. We look to dry out Wednesday and calmer weather will close out the work week.
