Showers & t-storms overnight, cooling Saturday
TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will increase after 9 PM and become likely overnight and more widespread north of I-70. No severe storms are expected. It will be breezy with southeast winds at 15-20 mph, gusting up to near 30 mph as temperatures hold in the upper 40s to lower 50s overnight.
SATURDAY: Showers will decrease through the morning, shifting east and out of the area as cooler air moves in. Temperatures will be warmer in the morning, in the mid 50s to near 60 but will fall through the afternoon into the 40s as skies remain cloudy. A cool breeze will continue from the north at 10-16 mph.
EXTENDED: We’ll drop into the lower 30s Saturday night under mostly cloudy skies and sunshine will be limited Sunday with high temperatures in the low to mid 50s. Showers and isolated t-storms will move in Sunday night as a warm front lifts across the area, warming us into the lower 60s Monday. Periods of rain and t-storms will continue through Tuesday with heavy rain possible Monday night into Tuesday ahead of a cold front. Overall rain totals of 1-3″ are expected with highest amounts south of I-70. Rain will taper off during the day Tuesday as cooler, drier air moves in.
