Unsettled rainy pattern continues through the next several days

THIS AFTERNOON: An area of rain showers has overspread across most of the viewing area, and that rain will continue for most of us well into the afternoon especially east of HWY 65 on a line from Sedalia to Marshall. The rain could be heavy at times so any evening plans will necessitate an umbrella and the rain jacket. Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 50s.

TONIGHT: Showers and t-storms will continue tonight mainly north of I-70. With breezy conditions out of the southeast temperatures will remain steady in the mid to upper 40s through the entire night. By morning we could see a few lingering showers.

EXTENDED: Showers will move east of the area by noon Saturday with temperatures in the morning reaching the 50s to near 60. Winds will shift to the northwest by noon and temperatures will cool into the upper 40s by late afternoon as winds gust to 25 mph at times, ushering in the cooler air. We’ll drop into the lower 30s Saturday night. Sunshine will be limited Sunday with high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Showers and isolated t-storms will move in Sunday night as a warm front lifts across the area, warming us into the lower 60s Monday. Periods of rain and t-storms will continue through Tuesday with heavy rain possible Monday night into Tuesday ahead of a cold front. Rain will taper off during the day Tuesday as cooler, drier air moves in. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
