More showers for Friday & Saturday, Drying out Sunday
TONIGHT: A chance for showers south of I-70 exists as we head into the evening hours as a wave tracks in from the west. While dry air will remain in place, any rain we see this evening will be very light in nature and primarily confined to southern parts of the region. The light rain we do see through the day into the evening for the most part will be more of a nuisance and very spotty in coverage. Lows tonight will bottom out in the lower 40s under mostly cloudy skies, with winds out of the east up to 13 mph.
FRIDAY: Rain chances will increase, especially into the afternoon hours as a stronger area of low pressure approaches the region. As of right now, the highest rainfall amounts look to be ast of HWY 63 and north of I-70. Rain begins in this region starting after 2pm on Friday, continuing into Saturday morning.
EXTENDED: Saturday looks to start out wet but drying out into the afternoon, so you will likely need the umbrella out the door for any morning plans you have. Winds will shift to the north by noon Saturday and temperatures will cool into the 40s after reaching the mid to upper 50s early in the day. Sunday will be partly cloudy with highs in the 50s. Another chance of rain moves in Sunday night with periods of heavy rain from Monday through Tuesday and seasonal temperatures.
