Woman accused of trying to hide methamphetamine inside of Moniteau County Jail

Moniteau County deputies arrested Michelle Sitton, 48, on Monday after officers saw a vehicle driving in circles on a public parking lot.

Deputies said they tried to approach the vehicle but it left traveling on Highway 87. The car was eventually stopped and officers found Sitton impaired.

Deputies said they found pills inside of the car. When Sitton was taken to the Moniteau County Jail, officers found methamphetamine and paraphernalia she was trying to hide.

Sitton faces possible charges for impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance. Her bond is set at $25,000.
