We will be cold to start the week, but spring returns by Wednesday

TONIGHT: We’re continuing to clear out this evening as precipitation has ended across Mid-Missouri. We will also see clouds lift out of the region after midnight. It is going to be cold overnight with temperatures hovering around 32 degrees. By sunrise, we will have temperatures near 30. There isn’t a huge concern for refreezing upon roadways to be an issue, but some side roads could see a few slick spots in the morning.

MONDAY: You’ll need your jacket out the door in the morning as we’ll start out near 30– wind chills will make it feel like we’re in the middle 20s. However, with spring approaching, we’re also seeing a higher sun angle in the afternoons. As we see full sunshine tomorrow, that higher sun angle will help warm us into the mid to upper 40s.

EXTENDED: The beginning of the week will start out cool, but we are going to be to warm-up to near normal by Wednesday. It will feel much more like spring Thursday and Friday as temperatures will make it into the mid 60s. Headed into the weekend and early next week, we’re also tracking a pattern change that could potentially bring some of the warmest air so far this year.
