Classes one and two wrap up day one of MSHSAA State track and field

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

Class one and two track and field teams competed in the first day of the MSHSAA State Championships on Friday.

Several local athletes came away with top finishes. You can find the full list of local finishes below.

CLASS ONE

Girls' high jump - seventh place St. Elizabeth's Sarah Backes

Girls' 1600m - seventh place Calvary Lutheran's Maddie Homfeldt

Girls' shot put - fourth place Calvary Lutheran's Sydney Morris

CLASS TWO

Girls' pole vault - fifth place Marceline's Sarah Kussman, sixth place Vienna's Riley Rosentreter, seventh place South Callaway's Lacey Mathews-Honarmand

Boys' triple jump - seventh place Elsberry's Dashuan Dodson

Boys' javelin throw - third place Brookfield's Trent Polley, seventh place Harrisburg's Tanner Fike

Girls' 1600m - second place Brookfield's Alex Sharp

Girls' long jump - seventh place South Callaway's Raegan Brown

Girls' 800m - third place Brookfield's Alex Sharp, seventh place Linn's Myra Baker

Boys' 3200m - second place New Bloomfield's Nathan Hinrichs, fourth place Calvary Lutheran's Kyle Hagemeyer
