Firefighters work to extricate driver in a Montgomery County crash

UPDATE 2:10 pm: According to the probable cause statement, the crash happened as a Ford F150 traveled off the left side of the roadway and onto the rock bluff. The truck became airborne and hit the ground. The truck overturned and came to rest blocking both lanes.

The driver, James Keys, had moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to University Hospital.

The truck was totaled.

ORIGINAL STORY: Montgomery County deputies warned drivers about a motor vehicle crash that happened on Friday morning.

Officers said the crash happened at the 168.8 mile marker west on I-70.

Only one lane is open for passing cars, causing traffic impacts.

Firefighters said they are working to extricate the driver from the vehicle.

Drivers are asked to plan accordingly and to be alert while driving in the area.
