Driver knocks over collection boxes at Columbia post office

Columbia police responded to a crash just early Thursday morning after a driver knocked over multiple post office collection boxes.

It happened just outside of the post office on Walnut Street around 3:40 a.m.

Only one vehicle was involved in the wreck.

Police could not confirm any details, such as what caused the crash or if there were any injuries. ABC 17 News crews saw police talking to the driver and no ambulance on scene.

The damaged collection boxes were taken away and the scene was all cleared up within by 4:30 Thursday morning.
