Unseasonably cool weather holds on

THURSDAY: After a cold morning, we’ll warm slightly Thursday with more sunshine in the forecast, reaching the lower 40s in the afternoon. A cold northwest breeze near 10 mph in the morning will decrease as we head into late afternoon, becoming nearly calm in the evening.

TONIGHT: Clouds move back into the area tonight as winds pick back up out of the southeast up to 9 mph with a warm front beginning to lift. Temperatures will still drop back into the mid 20s by morning, but it will feel more like the upper teens.

EXTENDED: Winds will continue out of the southeast and we will warm into the lower 50s Friday as clouds build back into the area. Saturday remains mild with highs in the mid to upper 50s with a slight chance of showers through the afternoon with the best chance south of I-70. By Sunday morning we see another shot at rain, which could mix to snow. Cooler air returns by the end of the weekend with highs on Sunday back in the 40s.
