Fulton police arrest man on charges of terrorist threat and domestic assault

Fulton police arrested Mark Newill Monday on charges of terrorist threat and domestic assault after he called Fulton State Hospital with threats.

According to the probable cause statement, Newill called the hospital seven to ten times, saying Tonia Lesieur, an employee at the hospital, made threats relating to the hospital.

Hospital security told officers they were taking the threat seriously.

When she arrived at work, Lesieur told police she was with Newill the night before but did not make the threats. Newill left her ten voicemails, in which the statement says included death threats against Lesieur.

Fulton Housing recently gave Newill a trespass warning for incidents relating to his harassment of Lesieur.

Officers say Newill admitted to calling the hospital but did not admit to threatening Lesieur’s life.
