***Wind Advisory from 9 AM Tuesday until 6 PM Tuesday for Benton, Camden, Phelps, Miller, Maries, Morgan, Cooper, Howard, Saline and Pettis counties***

TUESDAY: We’ll see sunny skies to start the day, however, clouds will begin to build back in as a low pressure system rotates south into our area. Strong winds out of the west to northwest will be sustained up to 20-40 mph with gusts up to 45 mph or greater. Temperatures will hover in the low 40s most of the day, but begin to drop into the afternoon. Afternoon showers are possible along and north of Hwy 50, as the upper level disturbance tracks through. We could see a few flurries mixed in by this evening. As temperatures quickly fall below freezing by sunset, we’ll see a changeover to spotty snow showers, with little to no accumulation expected.

TONIGHT: Any rain and snow will quickly diminish after midnight tonight as mostly cloudy skies hold on. Winds will remain breezy out of the northwest up to 22 mph gusting up to 32 mph, which will allow temperatures to drop into the upper 20s through the night. By morning you will need to bundle up as you head out the door with wind chills back in the teens.

EXTENDED: After a winter like start to the day tomorrow, it will remain cool both Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low to mid 40s and lows below freezing. Clouds will decrease by Wednesday bringing sunshine back into the forecast. We’ll warm back into the 50s Friday as clouds build back into the area bring our next chance of rain by Friday night. Saturday remains mild with highs in the upper 50s with a chance of showers, but cooler air returns by the end of the weekend with highs on Sunday back in the 40s.
