Woman faces assault charges after incident in downtown Columbia
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Boone County prosecutor has charged a woman accused of assaulting two people at two downtown Columbia restaurants.
New court documents say Samantha Albert hit one of the employees at Cafe Berlin and then locked herself in the bathroom on Friday. then she left Cafe Berlin and went to Delias where she allegedly assaulted a court marshall.
The officer says he called for help while he tried to detain her and says Allen fought back and scratched his face causing him to bleed.
Allen is charged with second-degree assault, third-degree assault, second-degree property damage, armed criminal action and resisting arrest.
According to online court records, Albert is being held at the Boone County jail without bond.
Albert doe not have a defense attorney listed.
Albert has a confined docket hearing scheduled for May 24 and a preliminary hearing scheduled for June 22.
