Columbia police arrest wanted man accused of stealing car

Columbia police arrested Jerred Coulibaly on Sunday afternoon after officers were made aware of a stolen vehicle.

Offices said they saw a car that matched the description of the stolen vehicle in the parking lot of Break Time on the Business Loop.

Police made contact with the driver of the car, Coulibaly, and searched the car. Officers found marijuana and determined Coulibaly had suspended driving privileges and three outstanding warrants.

Coulibaly was arrested on suspicion of tampering, resisting arrest, driving a motor vehicle with a revoked license and possession of 35 grams or less of marijuana. He also had two felony warrants with a total bond of $19,000 and a misdemeanor warrant with a bond of $1,000.
