Rain Sunday night, cooling this week
TONIGHT : Rain will increase overnight as a warm front lifts through Mid-Missouri, keeping temperatures mild with lows in the upper 40s. Rain is likely after 10 PM with a possible t-storm.
MONDAY: Showers are likely in the morning as a cold front moves through. These will taper off by early afternoon as winds shift to the west-northwest, gusting to 25 mph. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s with skies becoming mostly sunny. Total rainfall amounts from Sunday night through Monday are expected to come in at a quarter to half inch west of HWY 63 and up to an inch east of HWY 63.
EXTENDED : It will be colder Monday night with low temperatures dropping into the low 30s and subsiding winds to under 12 mph. It will be a chilly, windy day Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 40s and westerly winds at 15-20 mph gusting to 35 mph at times. Clouds will increase and Tuesday evening we have another chance for precipitation as last part of this storm system moves out of the area. Light rain showers are possible early Tuesday evening, turning to snow showers and ending. No accumulation is expected. Colder air settles in Tuesday night with lows in the upper 20s and wind chills dipping into the upper teens by Wednesday morning, reminding us that winter is still hanging on. It will be rather chilly Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low to mid 40s. We’ll warm back into the 50s Friday and into the weekend with our next chance of rain moving in Friday night.
