Beautiful and sunny into the weekend
FRIDAY: It’s a beautiful afternoon across Mid-Missouri, as temperatures are already climbing into the upper 40s and lower 50s. While a few passing clouds are possible this afternoon, the overall trend will be sunny skies and southeasterly winds. Highs this afternoon will top out in the mid to upper 50s, with winds out of the southeast up to 11 mph.
TONIGHT: It will be another chilly night ahead as clear skies remain allowing temperatures to drop close to freezing. Winds out of the southeast up to 10 mph will create for wind chills in the 20s by morning.
EXTENDED: Sunshine and warm conditions will accompany us this weekend. Temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday look to hover right around 60 degrees. Saturday, we’ll see mostly sunny skies, while Sunday looks to have clouds building in through the day as our next storm system takes shape across the region. We could see a few passing showers as early as Sunday afternoon, but we’ll see more rain build in Sunday evening into Monday morning. As we dry out Monday, much cooler air will build into the region. On the back end of this system we could see a slight chance of snow flurries Monday night into Tuesday. Rain amounts will be on the low side, with many locations seeing less than .50″. There is still a lot of time to track the specifics of this system, so continue to stick with ABC 17 as we watch this system unfold.
