Man sentenced to 10 years in prison in April 2020 shooting in Jefferson City
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)
A Jefferson City pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon in an April 2020 shooting and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
A judge sentenced Kavante Ware for shooting a man in his torso at the Heritage Apartments in the 800 block of Madison Street in Jefferson City.
According to Ware's probable cause statement, he attacked a man in the parking lot of the apartment complex and then shot him.
Officers said the shooting victim identified Ware from a photo lineup.
