Multiple graduation ceremonies scheduled for the University of Missouri on Saturday

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Students at the University of Missouri are set to walk the stage all day Saturday, as graduation festivities continue into the weekend.

Six separate graduation ceremonies are scheduled for Saturday, including:

• 8:30 a.m., College of Agriculture
• 11:00 a.m., School of Medicine
• 12:00 p.m., School of Health Professions
• 2:00 p.m., School of Law
• 3:30 p.m., College of Arts and Science
• 6:30 p.m., College of Arts and Science

All ceremonies are set to be live streamed on the university's website.

Doors will open for the ceremonies an hour ahead of the ceremony, as graduates are asked to show up no later than 30 minutes prior to their graduation.

Christian Basi, spokesperson with the University of Missouri, encouraged all friends and family members to join in the celebration, as the university sees its first year back to a full celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"For the university, there are no restrictions on our graduation ceremonies," Basi said. "If you're up for it and want to come and are healthy, not showing symptoms come, we want you here."

While there are no COVID-19 restrictions in place, there are items that will not be allowed into the ceremonies:

• Air horns and other artificial noisemakers
• Animals (except for assistive purposes)
• Bags and containers larger than 16″x18″x9″
• Banners/signs larger than 2’x 3′
• Cans and glass bottles
• Coolers (hard or soft sided)
• Firearms and weapons
• Laser lights
• Strollers
• Balloons
• Glitter
• Confetti

Traffic is also expected throughout the weekend in areas surrounding the ceremonies, with the university listing parking instructions for each venue on its website.
