Columbia police arrest man after finding multiple drugs, guns at Red Roof Inn

UPDATE 2/20: Harris was charged with delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a weapon.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested Kashus Harris on Sunday night after officers were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn.

Officers said they made contact with Harris in the parking lot and smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from his car.

Police searched the car and found marijuana, Xanax, heroin, two guns, ammunition, methamphetamine, Alpraxolam, a scale and a tan powder that was later determined to be MDMA.

Harris faces possible charges of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful for certain persons to possess concealable firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
