Wanted man accused of bringing methamphetamine into jail

Callaway County deputies arrested Anthony James, 33, on Friday morning after officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Summit View Drive for a narcotics related call.

During their investigation, officers found James. He was wanted by law enforcement for failing to appear, drugs, stealing and traffic charges.

Officers took James to the Callaway County Jail where they found methamphetamine on him.

James was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a jail. He has a bond set at $26,280.

Deputies said the investigation is on-going.
